post-doctoral research associate in Bioenergy and Bioprocessing Lab
Environmental Science and Technology Department, University of Maryland, College Park. He earned his doctoral degree in Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, Hyderabad, India in July 2019. He has done his Masters in Biotechnology from Osmania University, India. Dr. Naresh research majorly focuses on bioenergy, renewable chemicals and bioplastics production from organic waste through fermentation process. The biological conversion of organic waste replaces the need of fossil resources and produces alternative fuels and eco-friendly materials. In his doctoral research worked with food and vegetable waste bioconversion to biohydrogen and bioplastics production. He has earned several awards and fellowships in his doctoral school most notable among them are 2023-Outstanding Postdoc from Environmental Science and Technology Department, University of Maryland and 2019-Best Ph.D.Thesis Award from Academy of Scientific and Industrial Research, Government of India. He has more than 40 publications in major international journals like Bioresource Technology and Science of The Total Environment. His research has acquired more than 2400 citations, and he is regularly engaged in peer-reviewing for renowned journals.
